FANTY: Japanese Technology-Based Approach to Professional Excellence through International Collaboration

Talent Is More Important Than Technology at Fanty
At Fanty, we are convinced that every innovative technology is the result of the creativity and hard work of gifted people. Our firm is driven by cutting-edge coil handling equipment and creative solutions, but our success is really shaped by our talented professionals.
Cultivate a Talent Atmosphere
We constantly cultivate an atmosphere where talent flourishes and place the utmost importance on technical proficiency. Every member of our team, from engineers to designers, is given the freedom to push boundaries, question norms, and realize audacious ideas.

Respecting and Developing Talent
Respecting and developing talent is not simply a top priority for us; it is our guiding principle. We are dedicated to acknowledging, fostering, and supporting their efforts at every stage because we recognize that the proper people are the foundation of any significant accomplishment. At Fanty, the people behind the technology are equally as important as the technology itself.
Technology of Coil Handling equipment Use
Key Processes and Technology
Heat Treatment Technology: quenching
Rollers are quickly cooled (using water, oil, or air) after being heated to high temperatures (usually 850–950°C). The hardness and microstructure are directly impacted by the cooling medium and pace.
Technology for Heat Treatment: Tempering
Following quenching, tempering is done to improve toughness, lower internal tensions, and improve the microstructure. Achieving the required hardness requires precise control of the tempering temperature (e.g., 150–200°C).
Surface Hardening:
Induction hardening is an option for applications that call for a tough core and surface hardness. By employing high-frequency currents to heat only the roller surface, this method maintains the toughness of the core while reaching the necessary hardness.
Cooling and Process Control:
To prevent cracking or severe deformation, the cooling rate and cooling medium (air, water, or oil) must be properly regulated.
Surface Treatments:
Cryogenic Treatment: Improves the stability of martensitic structure, enhances hardness, and reduces dimensional changes.
Surface Coating: For added wear resistance, techniques like chrome plating or PVD coatings can be applied after hardening.
Hardness Testing & Inspection:
To confirm consistency throughout the roller's surface and make sure the hardness is within the HRC60 ± 2 range, post-heat-treatment hardness testing is crucial. For uniformity, multiple-point testing using a Rockwell hardness tester is advised.
