As the mainstream conveying equipment in the current stamping automation industry, NC servo feeder can be divided into mechanical NC servo feeder and pneumatic NC servo feeder according to its different relaxation methods, in addition to various models, types and applicable material thicknesses.


The two relaxation methods of the feeder are the same in the feeding principle: the touch panel is used to input the action command (feeding step, feeding speed, number of feeding sections and other parameters) for the PLC, and then the PLC sends a signal to control the operation of the servo driver, and then the servo driver controls the rotation position and speed of the servo motor, Finally, the synchronous pulley drives the feeding drum to realize accurate feeding. The difference between the two feeders is mainly reflected in the way of relaxation action.


The pneumatic NC feeder is connected with the release cam group of the punch, and the release cam of the punch provides the release signal to the electromagnetic valve of the feeder (the traditional punch is equipped with a proximity switch), and then controls the release cylinder to push the upper feeding drum through the electromagnetic valve (or proximity switch) to realize the release action, which is relatively slow, However, it has the advantage that it can be matched with various machine tools (including punch, plate shear, hydraulic press, molding machine and laser cutting machine)


The mechanical NC feeder needs to be equipped with a relaxing driving rod device on the cam of the punch. When the punch presses, the driving rod presses down to hit the relaxing bearing to make the upper drum of the feeder relax synchronously. When installing the mechanical NC feeder, it is necessary to install auxiliary devices on the sliding block of the punch, so there are certain restrictions on the size and model of the matched punch. The mechanical NC feeder can relax quickly. It is very suitable for short step, high-speed processing and production occasions, as well as occasions with traditional punch.


In addition, pneumatic feeding machine is more suitable for thick plate processing. Because the air cylinder of the pneumatic feeder not only has the relaxation function, but also can be used to clamp materials, which is tighter than the mechanical clamping, so that thick materials are not easy to slip. Therefore, pneumatic NC feeder is very suitable for long and short step conveying of thick and heavy plates and automatic feeding of stretched products.


At present, in the domestic stamping industry, the pneumatic NC feeder has a wider scope of application and is easier to install and debug. Most of the feeder manufacturers recommend it to customers as a standard machine, while the mechanical NC feeder is regarded as an optional payment. Therefore, many stamping owners only know that there is pneumatic payment, not mechanical payment.
