We say that when using the feeder and analyzing the positioning of the workpiece with the "six point positioning principle", we should pay attention to the following points
(1) The role of the positioning support point in limiting the degree of freedom of the workpiece should be understood as that the positioning support point is always in close contact with the positioning datum plane of the workpiece. If the two are separated, it means that the positioning function is lost.
(2) A positioning support point is limited to one degree of freedom, and a workpiece has only six degrees of freedom. In principle, the number of positioning support points shall not exceed six.
(3) When analyzing the positioning effect of the positioning support point, the influence of force is not considered. When a certain degree of freedom of the workpiece is limited, it does not mean that the workpiece cannot move when it is subjected to an external force that separates it from the positioning support point. To make it unable to move under the action of external force is the task of clamping; On the contrary, the workpiece cannot move under the action of external force, that is, it is clamped, which does not mean that all degrees of freedom of the workpiece are limited. Therefore, positioning and clamping are two concepts, which must not be confused.
